A—50 Insights
Financial ideas, in plain English
This is my educational library — short pieces on the questions that come up most often. Educational only: none of it is advice for your particular situation, and none of it knows anything about you.
A—51 The library
Articles
Written pieces on accounts and what each one is really for, how much cash is too much, why your time horizon matters more than last year's returns, and how the pieces of a financial life fit together. Published here as they're written and reviewed.
Videos
Short explainers on the same questions, for when reading isn't the mood. This section is built to hold embedded video as the library grows, including a walkthrough for each of the free financial tools.

Episodes and guest appearances will be listed here once they're published, with a link straight to the recording.

Longer conversations and interviews about financial structure, planning and the thinking behind The Wealth Architect.

A—52 FAQ
Common questions
Is the first conversation really free?
Yes. The 30-Minute Introduction Call is a conversation, not a service. Its purpose is for me to understand your situation and for you to decide whether working together makes sense. There's no cost and no obligation to proceed.
Do I need a certain amount of money to work with you?
This approach suits people who are actively saving and want their existing assets structured well, rather than people looking for short-term trading. Whether it's a good fit has more to do with what you're trying to accomplish than with a number, and the Introduction Call is the place to find that out.
How are you compensated?
Before you act on any recommendation, I'll tell you in writing what it involves and how it is paid for, including any commissions or ongoing fees. You'll never be asked to decide on something without knowing how it is compensated.
Do I have to move my existing investments?
Not as a condition of the conversation. Plenty of reviews conclude that the existing accounts are fine and the gap is somewhere else entirely — usually in protection, liquidity or coordination.
Do you work with my accountant or lawyer?
Gladly, and it usually produces a better result. Tax and legal advice remain with the professionals qualified to give it; the plan works better when everyone is reading from the same drawing.
Can you tell me whether I should buy a specific stock or fund?
Nothing on this website is a recommendation, and individual recommendations only happen inside an advisory relationship, after your circumstances are properly documented. That's both good practice and a regulatory requirement.
Do you advise in French?
Yes. I advise clients in both English and French, and you're welcome to have the whole relationship in either language.
What if I live outside Ontario?
I work primarily with clients in Ontario. If you live elsewhere, get in touch anyway — what I'm able to do depends on the licensing and professional requirements that apply where you live, and you'll get a straight answer either way.
